We could include a visit to Grand Choral Synagogue free of charge. We could also include going to the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral at USD 7 per person.

The tour starts with a visit to Peter and Paul's Fortress and an inside tour of Peter and Paul's Cathedral where Russian Emperors from Peter the Great through Nicolas II are buried, as well as the tombs of other members of the royal family. A number of interesting buildings complete the ensemble of the Fortress.

During your tour you will visit the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan or the Church of Savior on the Spilt Blood, depending on your wish. Kazan Cathedral is located on the main street Nevski Avenue. It encircles a small square with a double row of columns forming an impressive colonnade. The cathedral was named after a "miracle-making" icon of Our Lady of Kazan which is now there attracting thousands of believers who wish to worship it. Please note, that Kazan Cathedral is a functioning Orthodox church so taking pictures in Kazan Cathedral is forbidden.

The Church on the Spilt Blood is one of the most beautiful churches in St. Petersburg. It is richly decorated with enamels and mosaics. It was built on the spot where emperor Alexander II had been murdered in 1881 and is open as a museum now.

To conclude you will visit the main Orthodox Cathedral of St. Petersburg, a functioning St. Isaac's Cathedral that also works as a museum. The Cathedral used to be the main Orthodox Cathedral of Russia in the 19th century. The outstanding monument is decorated with 112 huge granite columns, hundreds of wonderful sculptures, dozens of mosaic and art works. The Cathedral is astonishing both inside and out. Besides, if you spend some time going up the colonnade, you will see the panorama of St. Petersburg from the bird eye's view!
